Three British citizens who were arrested over the weekend in the north of Greece are going to face the examiner on Friday in relation to charges weapons trafficking.

Of the three men, two aged 35 and 36 were on Saturday at the port of Alexandroupoli. Upon inspecting their caravan, authorities discovered a secret compartment which contained 18 rifles and about 40,000 roudns of ammunition.

During the police investigation the name of a third person third, aged 40, was recovered, leading to his arrest at Kipi in Evros. The 40-year-old was located driving a car with a trailer. Authorities recovered 4 air guns and about 200,000 rounds of ammunition.

They are expected to face felony charges of forming a criminal group and intending to supply terrorist groups.
