The Minister of Economy Giorgos Stathakis argued that the bailout program review will conclude by the end of December, in a speech he delivered on Tuesday at the conference on the Greek economy hosted by the American-Hellenic Chamber of Commerce.

Although the government has serious issues to address – the main one being the pension system reform – the Minister was optimistic that it will be feasible to conclude the process in the allocated time. Earlier in the conference, on Monday, the European Commission’s Declan Costello expressed his belief that the review would conclude early in 2016.

Following the conclusion of the bailout program review, the Greek government and the institutions will enter discussions regarding the sustainability of the Greek public debt.
