Σύμφωνα με όσα μεταδίδουν τα τουρκικά ΜΜΕ τουλάχιστον 10 πρόσφυγες έχασαν τη ζωή τους στην προσπάθειά τους να φτάσουν στην Λέρο από την Αλικαρνασσό με μια ξύλινη λέμβο, η οποία για άγνωστους λόγους ανετράπη.
