After a roll-call vote on Saturday, the Democratic Left party’s Central Committee announced that it will carry out its critical convention between the 2nd and 5th of October. DIMAR has called for its members and friends to contribute towards the party’s reform by participating in the pre-conference procedures.

Of the 108 DIMAR officers who voted, 63 were in favor of the convention in October, 17 favored a date in November, 24 were in favor of calling off the convention, while four officers threw blank votes. The Central Committee also approved the regulations of the pre-conference procedures as well as the plans and provisions of the conference.

The Central Committee also honored the memory of Kostas Karis, a founding member of the Democratic Left party and Central Committee officer, who recently passed away.
