The Center for Disease Prevention and Control (KEELPNO) announced that four more people died as a result of the current outbreak of the seasonal influenza virus, raising the total number of deaths to 90.
According to KEELPNO’s report, a further 56 people are currently being treated in intensive care units, due to health complications related to the flu.
Since the start of the outbreak, a total of 260 patients confirmed to suffer from the flu virus have been treated at ICU’s. Most of the patients belonged to high-risk groups, such as the elderly, sufferers of chronic ailments etc.
KEELPNO urges all vulnerable people to seek out inoculation and anti-viral treatment at the first symptoms.
