The Eurogroup head Jeroen Dijsselbloem expressed his disappointment that the troika has not yet completed its review in Greece and stressed the need for the Greek government and troika negotiations to complete as soon as possible, so that the troika may return to Athens.
Mr. Dijsselbloem noted that more work needed to be done before the troika returns to Athens and warned that unless the troika gives Greece a positive review, then the Eurogroup will not approve the next loan installment to Greece.
When asked about the emergent euro-skepticism in Greece and the upcoming European elections, the Dutch Finance Minister did not appear concerned, as he explained that skepticism towards Europe is present in all countries.
Commissioner Olli Rehn reported that the negotiations between the Greek government and the troika will focus on finances, structural reform and the banking sector, with Mr. Rehn estimating that the troika will resume its review in the next few weeks.
