The Senate of the University of Athens convened today and later issued a statement to publicize its intention for teaching to resume next Tuesday, the 19th of November.
In the announcement, the Senate explained that they came to the decision “having evaluated the explosive situation in the University due to the arbitrary measure of suspension and continued irreconcilable attitude of the Ministry of Education, in conjunction with the agony of thousands of families and students”.
To that end, the Senate has called for administrative staff on strike to allow the teaching staff and students access to facilities, so that teaching may resume.
