The Police arrested a 23-year-old mother of three children in Nemea, after discovering that her eldest child, a three-year-old boy, was found alone and bound to a chair in a storehouse.

After an anonymous complaint was filed, regarding baby cries being heard from the storehouse, the Police intervened and found the child bound to a chair and covered in filth. It appears the storehouse was used as a home.

The mother was later located in near-by Nafplio, with her two other children, aged 2 years and 8 months respectively. She was arrested and taken to the prosecutor in Corinth, who charged her with exposing a minor to danger.

At the prosecutor’s order, the children were taken to the Agia Sofia children’s hospital and are in the care of the Smile of the Child charity.
