An investigation has been launched into allegations by the Panhellenic Pharmaceutical Association (PFS) regarding medicine shortages.
The president of the PFS Kostas Lourantos, who met with Supreme Court Prosecutor Efterpi Koutzamani on Monday to provide details, stated amid the refugee crisis, the problems in healthcare and need for medication are becoming more intense.
According to Mr. Lourantos, certain pharmaceutical companies and wholesalers are not supplying the domestic market with necessary medication and instead focusing on exporting.
