The leader of the main opposition party Kyriakos Mitsotakis has accused the Ministry of Education of undermining day schools with the reforms it is preparing. Mr. Mitsotakis made the statements during a visit to a public day school in Argyroupoli on Wednesday morning.

The New Democracy leader claimed that the reforms will exclude the children with unemployed parents from assistance and argued that necessary skills will not be provided. He also asked about the quality of school text books and whether teachers evaluate them.

Mr. Mitsotakis congratulated the school teachers for their efforts and work and pledged that his party will support education and day schools.
