Aftee the government celebrations over the discussion in Parliament, perhaps it is time they retuned to reality, provided they still have some connection to it. The people who endured the late-night battle against corruption and invested interests, are not interested in the media and populist diversions of Mr. Tsipras. What they care about are their daily problems, the major uncertainty about tomorrow and the constant decline of the economy.

What they are worried and struggle over is how much they will have to pay again to cover the deficits in public revenue, which has caused by the government shortcomings and its hard negotiation tactic. The regular tax raids they have endured are not enough – another one is on its way that will bring the collapse and pauperization of those who have managed to hold on to a wage over 1,300 – 1,500 euros,

The new package of taxes and cuts in wages and pensions, according to the government spokesperson, will amount to 3% of the GDP, namely 5.5 billon euros of additional measures for this year and the future. And since the SYRIZA government considers everyone making over 1,500 a moth to be rich, they will have to pay the price in order to bring equality in Greece, as the saviors from the left claim.

The only policy that Mr. Tsipras and his ministers seem to know is to impose taxes. Greece may have the highest tax burden, the economy is collapsing under the pressure of taxes and contributions and the businesses that have endured so far may be seeking a way out, but SYRIZA’s obsessions persist.

Not only have they never considered abolishing some of the useless and counter-productive organizations, they are rushing to take care of everyone they need to reward for their services to the party.

The trade in corruption, vested interests and populism has yielded results for Mr.Tsipras, but society has had enough of the bloodless battles and fabricated enemies. So long as the government does not understand that the biggest problem is the collapse of the economy and depreciation of everything, the worst, unfortunately, for the country…
