The police announced the arrest of two Greek men, aged 45 and 47 years old, who demanded 8,000 euros from a 34-year-old Georgian woman in order to not publish an explicit video of her.
According to the report, the 34-year-old was contacted via SMS that explicit videos depicting her and her husband would be published online, unless she paid up. The threats carried on for some time and she was even sent a copy of the videos on disk, with further demands of payment.
Eventually, with the 34-year-old resisting the demands, the culprits uploaded the videos on a fake profile on a social networking website that was designed to look it belonged to the victim. Friends of the 34-year-old informed her that they were being sent the explicit material via personal message.
The 34-year-old woman then filed a complaint, with the police investigation quickly identifying the two culprits in Galatsi. During the inspection that followed the police recovered a hard drive that is believed to contain the explicit videos.
