A 47-year-old male nurse was arrested on Thursday in a city in eastern Macedonia for lewd acts against a 22-year-old female patient in the hospital where he worked. The 47-year-old man is also said to have given victim a sedative shot prior to the assault. As such, the suspect has been charged with rape, grievous bodily harm and various narcotics offenses.
According to the 22-year-old victim, the nurse entered the room where she was receiving treatment and administered an anesthetic shot which sedated her and then carried out the lewd acts.
After the victim filed her complaint, the police was promptly mobilized and arrested that nurse on hospital grounds. In the investigation that followed, the police recovered the empty vial of the sedative that the suspect administered to the victim. The police also recovered a further five vials from his car, that he appears to have stolen from the hospital’s intensive care unit.
