The new impressive bridge at Tsakona is expected to be prepared and ready of use within the next ten days, with the construction of partitions and drainage remaining.

When construction in complete, the length of the bridge will be 390 meters, with the largest section of the bridge (300 meters) being suspended from cables.

The road network connecting Tripoli and Kalamata, where the new bridge is being erected, was severely damaged in 2003 from one of the largest landslides documented in Greece.
