he second round of elections in the main opposition party New Democracy are scheduled for this Sunday. Voters across Greece will have to choose between Evangelos Meimarakis and Kyriakos Mitsotakis for party leader.

With voting taking place 7am and 7pm, party officials are confident that many of the voters from the first round in December will return for the second vote. No problems or delays have so far been reported.

Provisional party leader Yannis Plakiotakis commented from Crete, where he voted, that both candidates are worthy and capable and are in the position to spearhead the political and ideological reorganization of New Democracy.
