The president of the nationwide farmer association Dimitris Kampouris has told the Athens-Macedonia News Agency that a demonstration has been arranged for Tuesday at the Ministry of Agricultural Development.
The farmers will meet outside the Organization of Common Agricultural Policy Aid Schemes (OPEKEPE) at 9:30am, before heading towards the Ministry at Vathis Square.
Amongst the farmer demands are for the Ministry to provide compensatory alliance for the bluetongue outbreak, as well as changes to the licensing of founding and operating sheep housing and animal pens. The farmers will attempt to meet with the Minister.
