Pulse RC has conducted a survey for the To Pontiki newspaper which was posted online and shows that opposition party SYRIZA is ahead of governing party New Democracy by 2%.

The results for the upcoming European elections are as follows:

  • SYRIZA – 23.5%
  • New Democracy – 21.5%
  • Golden Dawn – 8.5%
  • Olive Tree – 7.5%
  • The River – 7.5%
  • KKE – 6.5%
  • ANEL – 4%
  • DIMAR 2%
  • Ecologists Greens – 2%
  • LAOS 1%

When asked who is more suitable for the Prime Minister’s office, current PM Antonis Samaras is still in the lead with a 32%, however Alexis Tsipras improved his approval rating to 25% (from 24%).

Finally, the opposition party is also considered the favorite to win the elections, garnering 46% of the voter, compared to the 39% rate of New Democracy.
