The prosecution has proposed that Dionisis Liakopoulos and Christos Stergiopoulos be found guilty for the murder of Pakistani migrant Shehzad Luqman in January 2013, with the prosecutor underlining the racist motive of the defendants.
The prosecutor focused on how the defendants were calm after the murder and was impressed that they did not head to their homes afterwards, but the city center instead, as if it were a “victory parade“.
The two defendants, who have since denied being Golden Dawn members, remained equally calm when they were stopped for a routine search by the police, as they did not even attempt to get rid of their murder weapons.
The prosecutor indicated that the two appeared so certain that they would not face any trouble, evident by their statements during questioning, that the murder must have been premeditated.
