According to the European Commission’s data that was published on Tuesday, the economic climate index in Greece dropped for the second month in a row. The Commission attributed the drop to the increasing lack in consumer trust.
In detail, the index dropped to 91.7 from 93.5 in June, echoing the drop in consumer trust (-70.9 from 66.5). The sectors affected the most from are industry, trade and services. A small improvement was noted in the construction sector.
Contrary to what is happening in Greece though, the overall situation in the Eurozone is improved, thanks to the expectations of the four largest economies. The Eurozone economic climate index climbed to 92.5 from 91.3.
