The farmers decided on Thursday evening to cut off access to Tempi Valley from 10am to 10pm on Friday and are now considering an escalation of their protest actions over the weekend. A new general assembly will be held on Friday to determine further actions.

On Thursday evening the farmers at the Isthmus at Corinth allowed cars to go through, but not any trucks, which remain parked on the side of the road. Motorists have to resort to detours and byroads to circumvent the road blocks.

The junction at Kefalovryso will be shut down for 24 hours, starting at noon on Saturday until noon on Sunday. Similarly, the farmers have decided to cut off access to the customs office at Exochi, on the border with Bulgaria, for 24 hours, starting noon on Saturday.
