The farmer road blocks across the country’s highways has resulted in about 1,200 Syrian and Afghani refugees being stranded in the port of Piraeus, as their buses cannot make the trip to Idomeni.

Volunteers are trying to help the refugees, who are currently kept on piers E1 and E2, since there have been no arrangements to provide food or other supplies.

An appeal for help has been made, since the situation will grow worse as of Saturday, when PNO ends its strike that has kept all ships docked. As such, more refugees will be arriving in Piraeus, also unable to travel north to Idomeni.
