The Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras has traveled to the British capital of London on Thursday in order to participate in the Syria Donors Conference. Athens hopes that the conference in London will showcase the central role that Greece has in the operational and political aspects of the refugee crisis.

While in London, the Greek Prime Minister has arranged a number of meetings with other world leaders on the sidelines of the conference.At noon the Greek PM will meet with the German Chancellor Angela Merkel, with whom he will later (3pm) participate in a debate along with Austrian Chancellor Werner Faymann, Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte, European Commission VP Frans Timmermans and Turkish PM Ahmed Davutoglu.

Earlier, at 1pm, the Greek PM Tsipras will meet his British counterpart David Cameron and later at 2pm, he is scheduled to meet with the President of the European Parliament Martin Schulz.
