The “TfA tickets” application that has been developed for OASA, allowing users to purchase tickets on the go, has received a global award at the annual Transport Ticketing & Passenger Information conference that took place in London over the weekend.
According to the judges “Transport for Athens has introduced an all around fantastic transport solution for the city in partnership with Masabi. As the first multi-modal, mobile ticketing programme accessbile in a capital city, the scale of this project and the popularity with customers are extremely impressive”.
The president of OASA at the time of the application was released, Grigoris Dimitriadis, commented that the application is secure, transparent and reliable and a world-class example.
Reports suggest that nobody from the current administration of the urban transportation organization of Athens attended the ceremony to receive the award.
