The border crossing at Idomeni between Greece and FYROM reopened early on Monday morning, after being closed a week ago on Saturday, with about 1,600 people waiting to cross over.

Greek authorities however expect many more refugees and migrants to arrive, since the recent PNO strikes have prevented thousands of leaving the Greek islands for Piraeus. More than 6,000 refugees and migrants are expected to arrive from Chios, Mytilene and Kos on Monday.
