The nationwide federation of public hospital employees (POEDIN) has staged at demonstration outside the Ministry of Finances over the government plans on pension reforms.
According to the demonstrators, the government plans will destroy the country’s social security system. POEDIN is also demonstrating against the new payrolls and demand that they be included in the list of “arduous and unhealthy professions”.
POEDIN president Michalis Giannakos stressed that they are being asked to pay the bill with the reserves from their main and supplementary pension funds.
