The medical examiner is waiting for the body of the 65-year-old man, which was found in a fridge freezer earlier in the week, to thaw in order to carry out an autopsy that will hopefully shed some light on the mystery. According to the medical examiner, the body appears to have been stored in the freezer for about a year.
Meanwhile, the police have extended their search to include the 27-year-old son which the victim’s partner had from a previous marriage. The 45-year-old woman reportedly left Greece shortly before the victim was declared missing, with the authorities suspecting that she may have escaped to her native Bulgaria. Interpol has been informed.
A relative of the victim, who is also said to have filled the missing person report, has alleged that a huge sum is missing from the 65-year-old’s bank deposits.
