The police investigation into the death of a 65-year-old pensioner, whose body wad discovered in fridge freezer in a Kallithea apartment, is focusing on the victim’s 45-year-old Bulgarian, with whom he had fathered a child.

According to police reports, the body wad found in fetal position, bound and gagged, with traces of blood in the freezer. The medical examiner estimated that the body had been kept in the freezer for about a year.

So far the police have yet to find the victim’s 45-year-old partner and have contacted Interpol in order to locate her in Bulgaria. It appears that she left for Bulgaria with her child a few days before the 65-year-old man was reported missing and never returned to Greece.

The grim discovery was made on Tuesday, when the apartment-owner went to serve eviction notices and inspect his property.
