The Prime Minister Antonis Samaras has arranged to meet the new European Commission president Jean-Claude Juncker in Brussels, on the 30th of August.
The meeting will be held in the afternoon, following the planned Summit to decide upon the successor of Herman van Rompuy. The two men will likely discuss the relationship between Athens and the troika, along with the possibility of taxation changes.
As such, the PM has requested that his ministers submit reports on the reforms they have implemented by the 29th of August, in order to show the Commission president Athens’ determination.
