An unnamed senior officer at the Ministry of Finances revealed that the coalition government will initiate discussions regarding the reduction of Greece’s debt in May, after the primary surplus has been confirmed by Eurostat, with the final decision expected after the troika’s review in June.

Meanwhile, the officer asserted that the government is considering including all of the provisions it agreed to with the troika in a single bill.

The officer also noted that the future of the solidarity levy will be determined in autumn, depending on the decisions that will have been made for the fiscal gap.
