Our governors appear helpless, as if they have given up. They appear to be lost in their early naïve proclamations and unfulfilled promises.

At present there is no progress in the government of Mr. Tsipras and Mr. Kammenos – a complete failure on all fronts. No plans worked out or were confirmed, nothing suggests they understand the circumstances.

The main planning on the economy, refugee crisis and the state turned out to be meaningless. Even the propaganda that sounded grand turned out to be problematic and ineffective.

The worse of all is that the cycle of ideas and beliefs that guided the government has collapsed. The so-called moral advantage too, which was invoked in the battle against vested interests, collapsed before the charm of the bourgeoisie.

Governors and ministers were carried away in an endless trade with businessmen, ship-owners and the more aggressive forms of the international capital, which they once denounced.

The events of the past few days, the fiasco in Idomeni, the crisis with Mouzalas and resignation demanded by Panos Kammenos, as well as the difficult negotiations over the bailout review, paint a picture of a generalized crisis for the government.

Everything indicates that the situation cannot be managed, thus creating the impression that we are to witness political developments.

The common belief is that we are in the days of a major denigration and anything can happen. Since Greece has historically experienced its crises on a national level, the threat is both major and obvious. Anyone who can’t see it is simply turning a blind eye…
