The International Day Against Fascism and Racism on Saturday the 22nd of March will be celebrated in Greece, with a number of antifascist demonstrations and protests scheduled to take place in Athens, Thessaloniki and Chania.

Anti-racism movement KEERFA has organized demonstrations at Omonia Square in Athens at 2pm (followed by a concert at Syntagma Square at 4pm), at the Venizelos Statue in Thessaloniki at noon and at the Agora Square in Chania at 12:30.

The international day of action against fascism and racism was established at an Antifascist Meeting which took place in Athens, shortly after the major demonstrations that followed the murder of anti-fascist activist and rapper Pavlos Fyssas.

Amongst the unions and federations that will participate in the actions on Saturday are ADEDY, the Worker Centers of Athens, Thessaloniki, Chania and Heraklion, POSPERT, OENGE, POEDIN, EINAP, OLME, POE-OTA, POE-DOY, municipal councils of Athens, N. Ionia and N. Iraklio, migrant and student unions, as well as the LGTBQ community, among others.

Concerts are also going to take place in the three cities, where popular artists such as Stamatis Kraounakis, Active Member, MC Yinca, Tsopana Rave, Silas Seraphim and more are scheduled to perform.
