The latest terrorist attack against the German ambassador’s residence in Halandri has been condemned by all political forces.

That, however, is not enough.

The Greek terrorist phenomenon is neither simple, nor can it be tackled with comments.

It has roots in our country and clearly the strength and capabilities.

Despite the political and operational defeat it suffered in 2002, it persists and continues to come back.

Perhaps it is a unique phenomenon in the developed West.

Wherever else in Europe or other places where similar militant groups developed, they were dismantled, disbanded and dissolved.

Over here, the advocates of armed political violence persist, despite failing spectacularly in influencing things the way they presumably wished.

On the contrary, the militant actins of the ideologues of the so-called revolutionary left probably benefited conservatism and the far right, more than anything else.

Along with the recent murder of the two Golden Dawn members and previously with the attacks against police officers and other targets, Michaloliakos’ party managed to drag out and activate society’s conservative – rather than revolutionary – reflexes.

Even now, amid this tough negotiation, nobody is scared. All it does is increase the suspicion and impairs the Greek people’s efforts and sacrifices.

Only the Greek people see no benefit from the actions of the self-appointed punishers. On the contrary, their actions harm the Greek people – whom they are suppose to express and represent, while creditor demands multiply.

They are that obsessed that they do not even consider that their actions are harming the country and its people.

That is why there is no other option other than increasing the efforts to bring the political and operation defeat of the remnants of the mosty clueless Greek terrorist phenomenon.
