The president of SYRIZA and leader of the opposition Alexis Tsipras has formally requested from the President of Parliament Evangelos Meimarakis to arrange a joint meeting of the parliamentary committees on European Affairs and Transparency.
Mr. Tsipras explained in his letter that the meeting is necessary, ahead of the visit of European Commissioners Othmar Karas and Liêm Hoang Ngoc on the 8th and 9th of January, who are scheduled to meet with the Standing Committees on Economic and Social Affairs, the Special Standing Committee on European Affairs and the Special Permanent Committee on Institutions and Transparency.
