The Ministers of Finances Yannis Stournaras and Growth Kostis Hatzidakis met with the European Commissioner for the Internal Market and Services Michel Barnier this morning and discussed public contracts, supporting the banks and government subsidies.

The French Commissioner and Growth Minister exchanged ideas on setting priorities for the upcoming Greek EU presidency in the first half of 2014, as well as the progress of structural changes and the policies of public contracts. The two men also discussed the digital supply system that has been implemented by the Supply Authority.

Mr. Stournaras and Mr. Bernier met later and discussed the progress of the program for the stabilization of the economy, the restructuring of Greek banks, as well as the Greek government’s initiatives to increase liquidity in the economy.
