The newly-elected president of main opposition party New Democracy Kyriakos Mitsotakis has arranged a series of meetings with prominent party officers, as part of his pledge to reorganize the conservative party.

On Wednesday morning Mr. Mitsotakis met with his sister Dora Bakoyanni. Prior to the meeting Mrs. Bakoyanni appeared on Mega Channel and announced that she will do anything the new party leader requests.

Mr. Mitsotakis met with Apostolos Tzitzikostas – who was also a candidate in the first round of New Democracy’s elections – around noon and is scheduled to meet Makis Voridis at 13:30.

On Tuesday the New Democracy president met with former PM and party leader Kostas Karamanlis, amid rumors of tension over his support for Evangelos Meimarakis. Mr. Mitsotakis also met with former PM and party leader Antonis Samaras.
