An ELPE employee who was seriously injured in the tragic accident at the firm’s refinery in Aspropyrgos earlier in May, Kostas Magouras, has succumbed to his injuries, bringing the death toll to four.
Aside from the three other casualties – Antonis Avrampou, Ramadan Delilaj and Charlambos Deftereou – two other employees who were injured in the accident are reportedly not facing any danger and one has been discharged from the hospital.
The company management announced the death of Mr. Magouras and expressed its deep sorrow at the loss and offered it condolences to his family. The company has repeatedly stressed that safety must be the primary concern of all employees, in order to avoid any further such incidents.
