The chief of the European Commission Jean-Claude Junker has ruled out the possibility of a Greek default and departure from the Eurozone, in an interview for Politico.

In his interview though, the EC chief argues that the Greek authorities are refusing to cooperate with their partners, a requested and notes that the government in Athens has tested his “patience”.

According to Mr. Juncker, a Greek departure, which is increasingly presented in international media as a potentially unavoidable development, will “lead us to consequences that people don’t know the amplitude about”.

Furthermore, he notes that he is confident of an agreement being reached, as the negotiations between the tow sides are reportedly progressing and moving in the correct direction.
