It has been nine months since the coalition government suddenly decided to shut down its public broadcasting services, however the ERT employees continue to work and broadcast via ertopen.gr.
The ERT employee union POSPERT has announced a demonstration outside the ERT HQ in Agia Paraskevi for 6pm today. According to POSPERT, their goal is to establish the first “public, socially supervised good, a model radio and television worth experiencing and helping to shape”.
In its announcement, the union is critical of the “aberrant” replacement radio and television broadcasting services (DT and the much-delayed NERIT) of “Pantelis Kapsis, his cronies, the government, the bailouts and the riot police”.
