The president of New Democracy Antonis Samaras stated that “the country is under constant occupation, public safety is threatened every day”.
Mr. Samaras argued claimed that the government’s actions has resulted in “loosing control at the Universities”, while assaults against police departments “are being tolerated“.
The former PM also argued that the government is unable to protect the country from “the waves of illegal immigrants that are multiplying” and that the government is “unable to even protect Parliament”.
The New Democracy leader pointed out that the government cannot decide whether the anarchist “invasion” on Thursday was “a challenge for Democracy” or a “peaceful demonstration” and alleged that the Monument of Unknown Soldier was being desecrated.
Finally, Mr. Samaras accused the government of being blinded by its obsessions and for bringing back the sense of insecurity to the market and the people.
