The Athens Hilton is to host the first talks between the technical teams of the European Union, European Central Bank and International Monetary Fund with officers of the Ministry of Finances.
In order to maintain secrecy, To Vima has been told that the Greek government requested that the technical teams include certain officers who live in Greece on a permanent basis, so that they are not noticed.
The kick-off meeting was scheduled for Thursday afternoon.
At present, the EU, ECB and IMF’s fiscal and real economy technical teams are in Athens, in order to discuss the fiscal gap of 2015 and the progress of the economy’s main indices.
Next week will see the arrival of new technical teams to discuss structural changes and the banking sector, as well as means to cover the financing gap over the next 12-14 months.
