The refugees and migrants who were recently transferred to the Tae Kwon Do stadium in Paleo Faliro will be cleared out by Wednesday, stated local mayor Dionysis Hatzidakis, after talks with the Alternate Minister of Migration Yannis Mouzalas.
Earlier, the Minister inspected the stadium and stated that ‘normality is being restored’. It has not yet been determined where the refugees and migrants will be taken, however the stadium must be cleared out in time for a sports competition that will be hosted there on Thursday, 18 December.
On Sunday, the refugees and migrants carried out a sit-down in protest of the living conditions.
