The latest heat wave in Greece continues on Thursday, with the temperature on mainland Greece reaching 40 and 41 degrees, while the Aegean islands will experience slightly milder conditions, with the temperature peaking at 36 and 37 degrees in most cases.
In Attica the weather conditions are rather unfavorable, as aside from the high temperatures, residents and tourists will have to brave the humidity levels and low wind speeds. The temperature in coastal areas will be 2 to 3 degrees lower, offering some relief. The conditions in Thessaloniki will be somewhat similar, with clear skies, a maximum of 37 degrees Celsius and low wind speeds.
The high temperatures are expected to drop late in the evening on Friday, as the northerly winds gradually pick up. There will be a noticeable change in the weather on Saturday.
