The Bundesbank chief Jens Weidmann argued that there is little time left to find a solution for Greece, in an interview he gave to German magazine Focus.
Mr. Weidmann also expressed his opposition to extending the ELA and emergency loans to Greece and rejected claims that the Greek public debt is unmanageable and non-serviceable.
Furthermore, Mr. Weidmann opined that the Greek government under Alexis Tsipras is responsible for the delays, while stressing that the financial and social repercussions of a disorderly default would be severe.
