The Ministry of Growth and Infrastructures approved an 11 million euro credit plan for the construction of pedestrian bridges across the main traffic arteries of Athens. The construction of the Geladaki pedestrian bridge on Mesogeion Avenue worth 738,000 euros has also been approved to be auctioned.

More specifically, Deputy Minister Stavros Kalogiannis’ decree provides 11 million euros for research in metallic and composite pedestrian bridges, the design and construction of six pedestrian bridges (two on Athinon Av, two on Poseidonos Av, and one each on Mesogeion Av and Kifisias Av) and the displacement of network utilities where the bridges will be built.
