The Police have acquired video and photographic evidence of abuse against bullying victim Vangelis Giakoumakis. Photographs and stills from the video were published by the Eleftheros Typos newspaper on Friday.
In the 2.5 minute video Giakoumakis is assaulted by a group of eight people in his student halls. The footage appears to have been taken by one of the bullies.
According to the newspaper report, Giakoumakis is being held down by the bullies and is heard screaming to be released. In an effort to defuse the situation Giakoumakis laughs uneasily, however one of the bullies gets him in headlock.
This video was shot in early 2014, when Giakoumakis is believed to have bullied the most. Although the police only has this video of abuse against Giakoumakis, the case file indicates that there are many more such videos of bullying against the victim.
