The government’s pension system reform plans are rumored to include cuts to disability pensions, claims a report in Ta Nea.

According to the newspaper claims, disability pensions may be slashed by 25% to 50%, depending on years of insurance and degree of disability.

As expected, these rumors have caused major concern among disabled taxpayers, as it essentially turns their pensions into benefits.

Under the new plan, pensioners with a 50% to 67% disability will receive only half of the national pension, while those with disabilities over 67% disability will see their disability pensions drop by 25%.
