The Coast Guard has reported that it has collected at least 266 migrants on Tuesday morning, in four different operations in the Aegean Sea.

In the first operation in the maritime area east of Agathonisi, the Coast Guard rescued 46 migrants, who were on board an inflatable boat that was torn and began to sink. After they were collected, they were taken to Samos.

In three different operations around Kos, the Coast Guard managed to collect 42, 24 and 25 migrants, who were all traveling to Greece in inflatable power boats.

In Chios, the Coast Guard located a group of 42 migrants near the island’s DEI facilities, after a Coast Guard patrol boat had located them at sea heading towards the Greek shore.

Finally, the Coast Guard reported that it rescued 50 and 37 migrants in two separate missions, off the coast of Lesvos. One group was transferred to Mytilene, while the other was taken to Mithymna.
