A 22-year-old student at an OAED-run nursing school in Renti attacked three of her classmates with a knife during class, early on Thursday afternoon. The police was called out and promptly arrested her, while recovering two knives from the scene. The three victims of the attack – two Albanian and one Greek student, aged 20 to 21 – were taken to the Attiko Hospital where they received stitches.

The police are examining witnesses, with some suggesting that the 22-year-old had been a victim of bullying. The assailant claimed in her deposition that she had been picked on for her appearance. Although the three victims denied bullying the 22-year-old, police sources reveal that many witnesses reported that the assailant was being picked on for some time.

Various reports indicate that while the young student does not suffer from any psychological problems, she is aggressive. Last year she was said to have been involved in another violent act and received psychological support. The police investigation has not concluded as to what triggered the attack.
