The trial of the neo-Nazi Golden Dawn party is set to begin on the 20th of April, with a total of seventy party officers and members to face serious felony and misdemeanor charges.

Amongst the seventy defendants in the case are the party leader Nikos Michaloliakos, his second-in-command Nikos Pappas and other prominent party members.

The case against the neo-Nazi political-party-cum-criminal-gang was launched after the murder of anti-fascist activist Pavlos Fyssas by Golden Dawn member Giorgos Roupakias, the brutal murder of migrant worker Shehzad Luqman and scores of attacks against migrants and ideological enemies.
