The president of SYRIZA Alexis Tsipras addressed the concerns over his party’s policies, should he win the elections on the 25th of January, arguing that “SYRIZA is no longer considered a danger as in 2012, but as a challenge to change”.

In an article entitled “My Greece will not harm Europe” that was published in the Italian Corriere della Sera newspaper, Mr. Tsipras argued that his party reflects the expectation for change across Europe. The SYRIZA leader believes that unless there is a considerable review of the political choices in Europe, then the crisis will not end.

Elsewhere in his article the SYRIZA leader challenges the claims of PM Antonis Samaras, claiming that he has offered nothing “except submission to the precepts of a harmful and failed austerity, which have forced new tax increases and cuts in salaries and pensions in Greece, in addition to six years of sacrifices”.
